Research aim
Our mission is to innovate and improve nursing care. Our solutions help patients optimize their health, independence and well-being across care settings.
About us
We are dedicated to enhancing nursing care and addressing the critical challenges in healthcare.
We carry out applied and clinical research on care-related themes, including quality and safety of essential care, self-management and early detection and prevention of acute events, and organizational themes, including leadership and future-proof care. Improving outcomes for patients/clients is at the heart of our work and patients and nurses are involved at all stages.
We have strong established collaborations with professional and academic groups in the region, at national and international level.
We teach the Nursing Science master’s program in Clinical Health Sciences at Utrecht University where healthcare providers/students develop scientific knowledge and skills and learn to apply and translate them into healthcare practice.
Leadership & Mentoring in Nursing Research (LMNR) program
LMNR is a national leadership program for PhD-prepared nurses (or those close to graduation) who aim to strengthen their leadership and increase their impact in care, research, education and policy. Each year, a new group joins a two-year track featuring mentoring, expert sessions and international exchange.
