Biography

Hamed Yousefi Mesri received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in December 2010 and a Master of Philosophy (Ph.M.) in Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia in September 2014.

During his master's thesis work in Sweden, he worked on the project "A multidimensional signal processing approach for classification of microwave measurement data with application to stroke type diagnosis" under supervision of Prof. Tomas McKelvey and Prof. Mikael Persson at the Department of Signals and Systems, Chalmers University of Technology in collaboration with Medfield Diagnostics AB and Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In 2012, Hamed joined the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the University of Melbourne, Australia as a research higher degree student under the supervision of Prof. Iven Mareels. His research project title was "Investigating microstructure in the brain using Diffusion-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging". He was also a visiting scholar at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, and National ICT Australia, during his research in Melbourne.

Later in 2014, Hamed joined the PROVIDI Lab at the Image Sciences Institute, University Medical Center Utrecht as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Leemans, working on diffusion MRI.
