Artificial intelligence, big data and virtual reality: technological innovations are here to stay in the hospital. What can this technology do for us? What challenges await us as a society? And what will healthcare look like in ten years? During the third edition of New Scientist Live! Brain Diseases we will search for answers together.
In cooperation with the UMC Utrecht Brain Center, New Scientist organizes an evening focusing on the technology of the future. Several scientists will give an insight into their fascinating research. For example, Mariska Vansteensel will talk about brain signals and the use of Brain-Computer Interfaces, neuro-oncologist Tom Snijders will discuss how drugs can better reach the brain, and we will talk to young researchers about the technology of the future – from virtual reality to mini-brains. Science journalist Bennie Mols will close the evening with his unique take on artificial intelligence. Expect an evening full of wonder about our body’s most complex organ: the brain.
The presentation is in the hands of Jim Jansen and music is provided by Afternooners. The ticket price includes checkroom and a welcome drink.
This inspiring evening is for anyone interested in healthcare innovation. The event is in Dutch.
