Biography

Wim Otte is clinical epidemiologist at the UMC Utrecht Brain Center, and specialized in predictive modeling research. He advocates open science and Bayesian inference. His recent work is dedicated to epilepsy-related clinical questions with sidesteps in the field of hearing disabilities, AI, clinical trial publication bias, and meta-research.

Personalized prediction, treatment and genetics in epilepsy

Research aim

We develop personalized methods for diagnosing, treating, and predicting outcome in epilepsy. Our aim is to better control seizures, treat comorbidities, and improve quality of life with a precision medicine approach in all people with epilepsy.
