Biography

Mariia Maksimova is pursuing a PhD at the Bioethics and Health Humanities subdepartment at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care of the UMC Utrecht. Her research focuses on the ethics of individualized therapies for ultra-rare neurodevelopmental disorders. She is currently involved in the PSIDER TAILORED project, aiming to address genetic developmental disorders by identifying the genetic cause and establishing an effective therapeutic platform. 

With a background in applied ethics, product management, and medical diagnostics, Mariia has gained experience working in diverse international teams. She is committed to promoting awareness of ethical considerations within the biotech industry.
