Biography

I obtained my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Amsterdam in 2019. At the UMC Utrecht, I started as a post-doctoral researcher and data scientist in the Central Diagnostic Laboratory, and currently fulfil the same role in the Center for Translational Immunology.

My work focuses on the use of clinical data collected during routine care to make diagnostic and prognostic models. I spend most of my time doing data management for the PROCARE 2.0 project, where we are putting together a large national dataset of clinical and immunological data on kidney transplantations. Our aim is to better understand factors that can cause decreased functioning of the transplanted kidney, and to be able to predict the prognosis of a patient even before the transplant has taken place.
