Biography

Lara Bos is a PhD candidate at the Julius Center, University Medical Center Utrecht. She worked as a registered nurse in vascular and pulmonary surgery (2020-2023). Alongside her clinical work, she pursued a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Science at Utrecht University. After obtaining her degree (2023), Lara started as a junior researcher at the Julius Center. Where she contributed to the CHAMPION study, focusing on optimising the deployment of nurse champions to prevent and manage pressure ulcers in hospitals. Building on this experience, she continued her journey with a PhD trajectory. 

Currently, she is working on the FRAIL-HF study, which aims to improve the quality of life of frail older adults with heart failure and prevent hospital readmissions. To achieve this, the research team is developing and testing a network care intervention. This intervention involves close collaboration between various healthcare professionals, both in the hospital and in the home setting.
