Jurgen Runge

Assistant Professor - medical

Biography

After obtaining a PhD in quantitative MRI in diffuse liver disease - with a focus on MR elastography (MRE) - I worked as research associate and post-doc at Amsterdam UMC and King's College London on further development of MRE hard- and software. This led to a succesful (co-)application of a Dutch Cancer Society grant (#10698) for a project on MRE in pancreatic cancer, in which I co-supervise two PhD-students. Meanwhile, I completed my residency in radiology, with a subspecialty fous on interventional radiology.

Currently, my clinical focus has shifted towards paediatric interventional radiology and I aim to start new projects within the realm of paediatric interventional oncology, including pulmonary ablation.
