PHD Candidate - OIO
Biography
I hold a master’s degree in Regenerative Medicine and Technology from Utrecht University, specializing in genetic engineering and gene therapy. During his studies, I completed an internship at the Beekman lab, where I worked on pancreas-specific delivery of virus-like particles (VLPs) for cystic fibrosis treatment, and a writing assignment on CRISPR gene therapy at TU Eindhoven. My most recent research at MIT in Cambridge, USA, investigated the role of epigenetics in tumorigenesis, utilizing advanced CRISPR tools and screening techniques to relate genetics and epigenetics. My current work will focus cell and organoid models to answer relevant question regarding gene therapy for cystic fibrosis.
