Jamie S. Depelteau

Researcher/Postdoc

Biography

Jamie is a structural microbiologist investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the bacterial evasion of the innate immune system's complement defense. Employing state-of-the-art cryogenic electron microscopy, he is elucidating the structural intricacies of the membrane attack complex formation on the bacterial surface. As a postdoctoral researcher in Suzan Rooijakkers' group, he is dedicated to developing novel methodologies and tools for high-resolution structural biology, enabling a deeper understanding of these critical host-pathogen interactions.
