Assistant Professor
Biography
I am an assistant professor and biostatistician working at the Clinical Trial Methodology and Statistical Consultation Team within the Department of Data Science and Biostatistics of the Julius Center. My interests lie in survival outcomes, quality of life questionaires and innovatice clinical trial methodology, mainly focusing on oncological diseases (mainly head and neck cancer, colorectal cancer and hematology). I also collaborate with researchers from other disciplines to design, conduct and analyze clinical research.
Before I joined the UMC Utrecht, I worked at the VU University Medical Center (VUmc; later Amsterdam UMC – location VUmc) as a biostatistician, providing methodological and statistical consultancy for clinical researchers and a methodologist of the Medical Ethical Review Board.
I hold a PhD degree in Mathematical Statistics from the Delft University of Technology (2011) and a MSc degree in Mathematics from the VU University Amsterdam (2005).
