PHD Candidate - OIO

Biography

Anouk de Sain is a PhD-student at the University Medical Center Utrecht, where she conducts research focused on patients with brain tumors. Her project in the Neurology and Neurosurgery department focuses on existential treatments for patients with brain tumors.

A central component of her research is the integration of patient involvement throughout the entire PhD project. By involving patients at various stages, Anouk seeks to ensure that their perspectives are heard and to assess whether the research aligns with their experiences and needs. This collaborative approach helps guide the research process and ensures that it remains relevant and meaningful for those directly impacted.

Through her work, Anouk aims to contribute to improving care and support for people living with brain tumors, addressing both their medical and existential needs.
