The MultiPlex Core Facility of the UMC Utrecht offers multiplex immune-assays based on Luminex xMAP technology. Color-coded microspheres are coated with selected antibodies to capture the analytes of interest. We can measure up to 194 proteins in samples of blood, plasma, serum, dry bloodspots, synovial fluid, liquor, ocular fluid, urine, semen, middle ear effusions, sweat, skin tape strips and culture supernatant. Our protein panel include cytokines, chemokines, adipokines, growth factors and matrix proteins.

You can select your own panel of 1-194 different proteins depending on your research question. If needed, we can advise in the selection of markers to design your personal panel.
Measurements are performed using an in-house developed and validated (ISO9001 certified) multiplex immunoassay based on Luminex FlexMAP3D technology.
All our multiplex assays are sensitive, precise, optimized and validated. We offer a flexible and open-architecture infrastructure which allows rapid measurements of any combinations of proteins.
