Cutting-edge pre-clinical (human) cellular disease models play a critical role in understanding biology and for the development of novel therapeutic strategies in other disease areas. However, for the translation of these on the bench disease models to trustworthy models that impact patient care
additional steps of standardization, automated screening, and increased throughput are required.
The UMC Utrecht Advanced Technology Platform for Cellular Screening Technologies offers solutions these additional steps.
We focus on the following activities:
We are currently equipped with one fully automated platform for assay automation, namely Rosie (for full details see Rosie’s equipment page). Rosie is developed within the EWUU Centre for Living Technologies and is currently located at the Regenerative Medicine Centre Utrecht (Hubrecht location). We have the ambition to expand our services in the future.
