Biography
Gemma Blok is professor in the history of medicine (UMCU) and in the history of psychiatry (UU). Her primary areas of expertise include the histories of mental health care, addiction and health-related social movements. More recently, her research has focused on personal narratives of psychoactive substance use, employing oral history and digital storytelling methods.
