Assistant Professor - medical
Biography
I studied Medicine at the University of Amsterdam from 2006 to 2023. Following medical school, I pursued a PhD at the departments of Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiology, focusing primarily on the effects of sex hormones in patients with Long QT Syndrome. In 2023, I successfully defended my thesis entitled “Diagnostics and Modulators in Long QT Syndrome: Towards a Better Assessment in the Young.”
In 2025, I became a cardiologist and started my fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Amsterdam UMC. Within interventional cardiology, I have a particular interest in coronary physiology. My clinical and research focus includes patients with chest pain without obstructive coronary artery disease, including ANOCA, INOCA, and MINOCA, as well as patients with congenital coronary artery anomalies.
From February 2026 onward, I will continue my fellowship at the University Medical Center Utrecht, where I will work as an interventional cardiologist.
