Science communication advisor
As an experienced Science Communication Advisor with a background in international regulatory affairs, biomedical communications and medical marketing, I oversee the communication efforts of the strategic research program Infection & Immunity (I&I). My responsibilities include advising researchers on science communication-related questions, scientific writing and editing, conducting training sessions and workshops, and aiding the development of tools and policies to enhance (science) communication at UMC Utrecht. Additionally, I assist in organizing science-focused symposia and outreach events and work to position UMC Utrecht as a major research institution. My primary goal is to make scientific knowledge accessible to a wide range of target audiences (researchers, policy makers, colleagues, patients, etc.), thereby promoting transparency, trust, collaboration, and valorization of scientific outcomes.
