Save the date! Join us at the “Preventive Health Conference – Just Transformations”, organised by the institute 4 Preventive Health (i4PH) part of the alliance between Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University & Research, Utrecht University, and the University Medical Center Utrecht (EWUU)
Amid rising anthropogenic threats, increased longevity, and the escalation of chronic conditions in later life, transitioning from curative to preventive healthcare is essential—a sentiment widely acknowledged.
But is it as simple as “just” that? During this conference, we will explore what steps are truly needed to achieve the necessary transformations. What resources and collaborations are essential to drive this change? How can we ensure that these shifts are equitable and do not exacerbate existing health disparities? In other words, how do we ensure these shifts are “just” for everyone?
The conference explores various forward-looking scenarios for the future of preventive health. What might the health of the Dutch population look like in 2040? Through keynote addresses, panel debates, and networking opportunities, we will tackle pressing questions: What needs to be done to achieve these future scenarios? What are the catalysts for these envisioned futures of preventive health? How do we navigate the interests of stakeholders and established institutions in the strictly regulated health sector? And how can we prevent exacerbating health disparities during the transition to preventive care?
The i4PH invites experts from various fields, including academia, government, industry, civic groups, and health insurance, to join us in shaping the future of healthcare. Our collaborative efforts can forge a more resilient and proactive approach to well-being.
