Recently, the DDOD lab has taken steps towards more sustainable lab practices and we are proud to announce that we received the Bronze certification from the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF), awarded by sustainability coordinator Joep Sprangers. This is an important step towards our contribution to more efficient use of resources and energy, and thus reducing the ecological footprint of the UMC Utrecht. With plans to optimize freezer settings and improve waste separation, the DDOD lab is committed to further greening their lab environment, with ongoing support from the UMCU Green Teams and LEAF.
