Welcome to the website of our research laboratory, situated at the University Medical Center in Utrecht. In our lab, we are fascinated by the molecular interplay between bacteria and the human immune system. Treatment of bacterial infections becomes more difficult because of antibiotic resistance. We try to understand how our immune system fights bacteria and use this knowledge to develop better vaccines or antibody therapies against bacteria.
