Every year, our group participates in two major conferences.
The first is the KNVM Scientific Spring Meeting, a national gathering that brings together microbiologists from across the Netherlands to share research and innovations.
The second is De Koepel, our very own departmental conference — a proud, decades-long tradition within the Department of Medical Microbiology where we share our community’s research and scientific progress alongside a good dose of fun!
We also organize yearly group outings, as well as spontaneous drinks or activities among colleagues. Last year, we went to an escape room, hosted a board game night, and played pool!
Our department is also quite social. In addition to our yearly departmental conference, "De Koepel", we organize monthly drinks at the MMB Café and a Christmas party. Employees are also welcome to join all events organized by ICEA, our departmental committee dedicated to planning monthly social activities.
